Day 2: THU 26th Dec; 

Arrival Casablanca @16PM - Dinner at Rick's Cafe
Overnight: Kenzi Basma in Casablanca
Upon arrival Casablanca airport, meet and assist at the airport and then transfer to your hotel to check in and short rest, 
Meals: Inflight & Dinner at Rick's Cafe

Day 3: FRI 27th Dec Casablanca City Tour / Transfer to Marrakech
Activities: Hassan II mosque, the Jewish Museum, Habous
Overnight: Les Jardins de L’Agdal in Marrakech

Breakfast at your hotel in Casablanca and then a short tour.  Casablanca is a modern city that holds many surprises for its visitors.it is known as a huge metropolis where modernity and tradition co-exist. Start your visit with the old medina (old town): the central market, and the district Habbous that have kept their authenticity. See the wall of the medina, a fortified 18th century bastion, through the labyrinth of narrow streets lined with jewelers, barbers and artisans.  As you travel around the city of Casablanca, you cross the large green areas with palm trees, arcades, pergolas and cafes with shaded terraces. Finally, take the time to visit the majestic Hassan II Mosque, the world's second largest. It rises above the ocean on an outcrop northwest of the Medina, a vast building that holds 25,000 worshipers and a further 80,000 in the squares around. To see the interior you must take a guided tour. For those addicted to shopping, Casablanca is host to one of the biggest malls in Africa. Morocco Mall is a temple of shopping and leisure. Besides from the Morocco Mall, there is Anfa Place Shopping Centre, The Twin Center and the whole area of Maarif for shopping addicts. Transfer to Marrakech and Overnight.

Day 4: SAT 28th Dec; Marrakech Tour / Transfer to Ouarzazate
Activities: Saadian Tombs , Menara , Koutobia(outside tour) , Mallah and Jamaa El-Fna, Tizi N'Tichka, Aït Ben Haddou
Overnight: Le Berbère Palace in Ouarzazate

Breakfast at hotel in Marrakech; Visit to the Koutoubia mosque : the most unmistakable religious building in Marrakech. For tourists, the Koutoubia is often used as a compass to navigate in the city! Visit to the Saadian Tombs : you can enter the Saadian tombs and open your eyes to a rich history and sulfurous decorations ! the mausoleum houses sixty Saadi , an Arab dynasty of Morocco from 1524 to 1659. Visit to the Bahia Palace: that is best known for its rich architecture. Its construction is recent, 19th century, and was inspired by Arabic and Andalusian styles. Continue the tour to The famous Djamaa El Fna and Souks of Marrakech. Visit of the famous Djemaa El Fna : a performance space and leisure chaining until late in the evening. Visit to the souks to discover the magical colors crafts while passing through the narrow streets of the Medina. 


Transfer to Ouarzazate via the Tizi N'Tichka saddle (2260m). At the top, a narrow road leads to cross several Berber villages on the way, like the village of Telouet from where you will have a splendid view. Short stop is planned at Aït Ben Haddou to visit its most impressive and the best preserved Ksar of all the Moroccan south area, a world heritage site used previously to film Hollywood movies like Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia and so many others. Check in at your hotel and Overnight in Ouarzazate.

Day 5: SUN 29th Dec; Ouarzazate / transfer to Zagora
Activities: Atlas studio, Draa Valley
Meals: Breakfast , Dinner
Overnight: Erg Chagaga Camp in Zagora 

Breakfast at your hotel in Ouarzazate and then visit Atlas Studios in Ouarzazate then drive through the High Atlas Mountains, the Berber Village of Agdez, and Draa Valley that considered as the largest date palm plantation in Morocco.

Short stop is planned at Aït Ben Haddou to visit its most impressive and the best preserved Ksar of all the Moroccan south area, a world heritage site used previously to film Hollywood movies like Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia and so many others. Arrive Zagora late afternoon.  Camel trek over the sand dunes to witness the magnificent sunset. Dinner with local entertainment under the stars, and overnight in your private, luxury tent.

Day 6: MON 30th Dec; Desert Safari return to Marrakech
Activities: transfer through high atlas
Meals: Breakfast
Overnight: Les Jardins de L’Agdal in Marrakech
Early wake up to witness the Sunrise over the dunes of Zagora. Return to the camp for a traditional breakfast After Breakfast, departure back to Marrakech through Agdaz & Ouarzazate. There will be stops are planned to give you the chance to enjoy the high atlas mountains landscapes. Once arrived to Marrakech, Transfer to your Hotel/Riad

Day 7: TUE 31st Dec; Fly from Marrakech to Cairo
Activities: Flight Marrakech to Cairo , New Year Dinner
Meals: Breakfast, New Year Dinner
Overnight: Hilton Pyramids Golf hotel in Cairo
Breakfast at your hotel and then, you will transfer to Marrakech airport for your flight to Cairo.  Upon arrival at Cairo airport, you will be transferred to your hotel for check in and relax till the night.

Day 8: WED 1st Jan; Pyramids Cairo tour - Sound and Light show
Activities: Giza Pyramids, Egyptian Museum, Khan El Khalil, Pyramids sound and light show
Overnight: Nile Tower hotel in Cairo
Breakfast at your hotel in Cairo and then meet your personal guide who will accompany you to Giza Plateau to visit one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus, famous Sphinx, and Valley temple facing the great statue. Lunch at a good quality local restaurant. Then transfer to enjoy the Egyptian Museum, Treasures room for the child king Tutankhamen. Continue to explore Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s old bazaar. Back to your hotel.

Day 9: THU 2nd Jan; Free day in Cairo
Breakfast at your hotel in Cairo and then free time in the city with optional tours.
Overnight: Nile Tower hotel in Cairo

Day 10: FRI 3rd Jan; (B, L, D)

Aswan - Nile Cruise Tour
- Transfer from hotel to Cairo airport for the flight to Aswan
- Meet & assist at Aswan Airport 
- Transfer to embark Nile Cruise before lunch.
- Visit the High Dam, Philae temple & unfinished Obelisk.
- Overnight in Aswan.

Day 11: SAT 4th Jan; (B, L, D)

Kom Ombo & Edfu Temples
- Sailing to Kom Ombo.
- Afternoon tea.
- Visit the Temple shared by two gods Sobek & Haeroris in Kom Ombo.
- Sail to Edfu.
- Visit Horus Temple in Edfu.
- Overnight in Edfu.

Day 12: SUN 5th Jan; (B, L, D)

Luxor Nile Cruise Excursions
- Sailing To Luxor Via Esna.
- Afternoon tea.
- Visit Luxor Temple.
- Belly Dance Show.
- Overnight in Luxor.

Day 13: MON 6th Jan; (B, D)

Disembarkation in Luxor 

- Visit Valley of the Kings & Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (El-Deir El-Bahari).
- Transfer to Luxor ​Airport for your return to Cairo where you will be met and assisted at the airport then taken to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 14: TUE 7th Jan;  (B)

Final Departure & Frankfurt Layover Tour
Breakfast box in Cairo, check out and then transferred to Cairo International Airport for final departure.  Additional meals on flight.

$4750pp double occupancy: Deposit $250 + 12 payments of $375/mo starting Nov 1, 2018. Final Payment  due: 10/1/2019.  Must make Catch-up payments to join trip.  Following initial deposit, you will be invoiced for balance payment.  All Payments Non-Refundable.  Contact AdvenTours By Ava for single supplement and alternate payment options.

DON'T FORGET:

VISAS are required for Egypt & Morocco.  Visa pricing varies from approx. $25US to $35US per person and can be obtained electronically prior to your trip or at the airport.  Visa costs are the responsibility of each traveler.  While no vaccinations are REQUIRED for this trip, some may be recommended. Check with your physician to determine what's best for you.  

 

OUR TIPS:

You will be traveling to areas with high poverty and may be moved to assist.  Tip your local tour guides generously.  Travel with small units of local currency if you think you may wish to accede to many compelling requests for aid,  but be sure to secure valuables!   Unfortunately, there are unscrupulous persons everywhere.

 

Ensure your passport is valid at least 6 months beyond your travel dates, and  bring a hard copy xerox of the declarations page which you should keep in a separate location from your passport.  You may also consider uploading a digital copy to a location where it can be easily accessed while traveling.
